THE DNA OF ORGANIZATIONS THAT STAY RELEVANT

  • Adaptability to change – Your yesterday’s product may not be the solution to today’s problem. You either change or you will be changed eventually.
  • Structure and Systems – The durability of buildings is largely due to their structures and foundations. As an organization, an enterprise, or a vision that must scale and be sustained, systems and structures are paramount.
    You don’t grow to structure, you structure to grow.
  • A Good Organizational/Company Culture – My basic social studies taught me that culture is the way of life, in context “The way we do things here”. Many declines in productivity or death in some organizations and enterprises could be tied to a dysfunctional culture or value system at work there.
  • A solid and well-communicated Vision – The most potent and licensed driver on your path to moving a team towards a goal, is a solid and well-communicated vision, crystallized in the heart of the people. It is not enough to have a vision, It must be communicated well. This should be done both corporately (so no one claims ignorance), continually (because the vision bucket leaks) and clearly (so there is no ambiguity).

The beauty of life is not just in starting or running a vision/idea but in its sustainability.
